Monson did not spare even DRDO, one more case registered against fraudster

KOCHI: The police have registered one more case against Monson Mavunkal for cheating dignitaries of the state by displaying fake antiques and swindling crores from many for business purposes. The case is for forging a fake document in the name of DRDO. Monson had deceived many saying that he has the substance used as fuel in the rocket.

Monson showed people the document asserting that he has DRDO’s permission to keep iridium in his hand. The new case was filed following the finding that the document was forged. It was also found that the fake signature and the seal were made by Monson in the name of researchers. There are seven cases against him. Most of these are financial fraud cases.

Many came forward with new complaints following the arrest of Monson in Kochi. Monson had received huge amounts from many for various purposes. A native of Thuravoor in Alappuzha came forward saying that Monson had borrowed Rs 1.5 lakh from him. At the time of receiving the amount, Monson promised to repay the amount in 20 days but has not given it so far.
