NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court granted anticipatory bail to serial actor Rahul Ravi. The Supreme Court granted bail to Rahul in the domestic violence case filed by his wife Lakshmi S Nair. The bail was granted by a bench led by Justice C T Ravikumar.
The police had been searching for Rahul for two months in the case. He was absconding after this. The police conducted an investigation for him in four states including Kerala.
The Madras High Court had granted bail to Rahul in this case earlier but the court cancelled it on the grounds that he had given false information in the affidavit and later ordered his arrest. The actor approached the Supreme Court after this. Lawyers Subhash Chandran and Kavitha Subhash Chandran appeared for Rahul Ravi.
Rahul Ravi was noticed through the popular serial 'Nandini'. Rahul and Lakshmi got married in December 2020. There were reports on the couple’s divorce. The FIR of the police said that when his wife Lakshmi came to Rahul's apartment on April 26, 2023, she saw another woman along with Rahul there. Also, there were reports that Rahul regularly beats Lakshmi. Rahul went missing after this.
