Kerala records 6996 COVID-19 cases on Monday, 84 deaths

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 6996 COVID-19 cases on Monday. Among these, 6588 persons developed the disease through contact, including 333 cases without an identified source of infection. 40 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 35 health workers contracted the disease on Monday.

16,576 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 1,01,419 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 84 deaths due to the virus on Monday with the toll rising to 26,342.

Ernakulam 1058, Thiruvananthapuram 1010, Kozhikode 749, Thrissur 639, Malappuram 550, Kottayam 466, Kollam 433, Idukki 430, Palakkad 426, Kannur 424, Alappuzha 336, Pathanamthitta 179, Kasaragod 166, Wayanad 130.
