Crucial turning point in actress assault case; Dileep's driver turns hostile 

KOCHI: Actor Dileep's driver Appunni has turned hostile in the actress assault case. It is learnt that Appunni has changed his statement in favour of Dileep. The prosecution cross-examined Appunni after declaring him a hostile witness. The trial, that began last week, will continue till Saturday.

Earlier, Dileep's wife Kavya Madhavan, who is the 34th witness in the case, had turned hostile. Kavya was included in the list of witnesses to prove that Dileep was not in good terms with the actress who was assaulted.
