KOTTAYAM: A case has been registered against seven SFI activists in connection with the attack on a woman leader during the clashes during the MG University Senate elections. Gandhinagar police have registered a case against SFI Ernakulam district office-bearers Amal CA, Arsho, Prajith, Education Minister's personal staff KM Arun, Kottayam leaders Shiyas, Tony Kuriakose and Sudhin.
A case has been registered against SFI leaders for harassing a woman and making casteist comments against her. The case was registered after the AISF women leader made a statement to the police against the SFI leaders. The complaint alleges that the SFI leaders threatened to rape her during the Senate election, made casteist remarks and harassed her.
