Petrol, diesel prices drop after tax cut

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The central government has reduced the excise duty on petrol and diesel in the country. Following this, the petrol price in Kerala was reduced by Rs 6.57 and diesel by Rs 12.33.

The petrol price in Thiruvananthapuram is Rs 106.36 per litre and the price of diesel is Rs 93.47 per litre. In Kochi, a litre of petrol costs Rs 104.17 and diesel Rs 91.42 today. In Kozhikode, one litre petrol costs Rs 104.44 whereas one litre diesel costs Rs 91.72. The prices of petrol and diesel in Alappuzha have come down to Rs 104.67 and Rs 91.89 respectively.
