Police register case against 20 locals who saved woman from attack of pet dogs

KOZHIKODE: Police have registered a case against 20 identifiable individuals who saved a woman from the attack of pet dogs in Thamarassery. The case was registered on the complaint filed by Roshan, the owner of the dogs. A woman named Fousiya was brutally attacked by Roshan's pet dogs on Sunday. Fousiya, who sustained severe injuries on her face and hands, is undergoing treatment at the Kozhikode Medical College Hospital.

The incident took place in Thamarassery on Sunday morning. Fousiya was on her way to the Madrasa when the dogs belonging to Roshan pounced on her. On seeing this, Roshan and several locals rushed to save her from the dogs. The dogs continued attacking Fousiya even as locals tried to stop them. Meanwhile, locals alleged that Roshan's pet dogs frequently attack people. Recently, an elderly man was attacked by these dogs.
