'K-Rail project is against interest of state'; E Sreedharan comes out against K-Rail project

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: 'Metroman' E Sreedharan has come out against the K-Rail project, the prestigious project of the Pinarayi government. He opined that if the K-Rail project is implemented, it will become the China Wall that divides Kerala. He also criticized the current alignment of the project.

"The K-Rail project is against the interest of the state. The project cannot be completed by 2025, as the government says. The announcement that K-Rail would operate night freight is impractical," Sreedharan said in a press release. He also criticized the lack of interest on the part of the government in the construction of the Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode light metros.
