CPM Nedukandam area committee comes down heavily on CM, Sivankutty and Veena George

IDUKKI: The CPM Nedukandam area committee meet came down heavily on the chief minister and other ministers. The chief minister is a dictator and there are no MLAs or ministers in the state to question him. What was wrong in considering K K Shailaja as the chief minister and that Education Minister V Sivankutty and Health Minister Veena George are a total failure.

Not including M M Mani in the second Pinarayi cabinet also drew criticism. If age was considered, the chief minister should have set an example by stepping aside. The win of M M Mani with a large majority was not because of the work of the district committee, it was because for establishing dominance in the hearts of the people through activities. Some members opined that Mani should have been given a ministerial berth. When age is considered, it should be considered in all areas. It should be from the lower levels. Some of the representatives blamed that as many hang on, opportunities are denied for youths.
