KOCHI: The High Court has observed that the language used in 'Churuli' is terrible. Justice N Nagresh made the comment after examining the scenes in the film. The court was hearing a petition filed by Peggy Fenn, a lawyer from Thrissur, alleging that the film was full of obscene language that was not in line with public morals.

The petition seeks that the film be withdrawn from the OTT platform. Following this, the High Court has issued notices to the Censor Board, director Lijo Jose Pellissery and actor Joju George. Also, the Censor Board informed the court that the censored copy of the film was not released on the OTT platform.
