THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said that the Governor's revelation that he was forced by the government to take illegal decisions in Kalady University and Kalamandalam apart from Kannur University was very serious. He also said that the Chief Minister should clarify his position on the issue.

"The Chief Minister has an obligation to clarify under which circumstances did the government recommend the Governor to illegally re-appoint Gopinath Raveendran as Vice-Chancellor after dissolving the search committee. This is the first time in the history of the state that a Governor has written such a letter to the Chief Minister," he said.
