KOLLAM: The Congress leaders in the state were upset with the way Shashi Tharoor MP supported the Silver Line Project. The leaders supported and slammed the MP for his act. Tharoor has now got the support of opposition leader V D Satheesan. Satheesan said Tharoor is with UDF’s stand in the Silver Line project. He said Tharoor had replied to him that the questions raised by the UDF about the project were relevant.
However, former KPCC chief Mullappally Ramachandran had asked to tame Tharoor. Ordinary Congress workers toiled day and night for his win. Tharoor should not forget the party and opine. The All India Congress leadership should intervene in the matter, he said.
KPCC chief K Sudhakaran warned to take stern action against Tharoor's pro-left stance. Sudhakaran had asserted that Tharoor is only an MP and that he would have to leave if he did not accept the stand of the party.
