Noted Christian Preacher Prof M Y Yohanan no more

KOCHI: Noted Christian preacher Prof M Y Yohannan passed away at a private hospital in Aluva on Sunday. He was 84.

The Christian preacher was admitted to the hospital following kidney related ailments.

Prof Yohannan, also the Christian Revival Fellowship President, was born in a middle class agricultural family in Kadayiruppu of Kolenchery.

He started his career as a teacher in the school where he had studied.

In 1964, Prof Yohannan joined St. Peter’s College and continued there for about 33 years.

He was appointed as the Principal of the same college in 1995 and retired after two years.

Prof Yohannan was also the Chairman of Agappe Diagnostics Limited, which manufacture medical equipment. He had authored more than 100 books.
