THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Anavoor Nagappan has been re-elected as the CPM's Thiruvananthapuram district secretary for the third time in a row. Nagappan was re-elected by the district assembly which ended yesterday. He is a member of the CPM State Committee.
In 2016, when Kadakampally Surendran contested the assembly elections, Anavoor Nagappan became the interim secretary. After Kadakampally won and became a minister, he continued in the post of district secretary with full charge. In 2018, he became the district secretary for the first time through the district conference. This is his second consecutive term in office. He has formerly served as the district panchayat president.
