THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Honorary Consulate of Sri Lanka, which is reopening after three years, will be inaugurated by Governor Arif Mohammad Khan at Hotel Hilton Garden Inn tomorrow at 3.30 pm. The Honorary Consulate of Sri Lanka will be located at Rugmini Amma Lane in Sasthamangalam. Honorary Consul Biju Karnan said that this will further strengthen trade and commerce ties between India and Sri Lanka. "Sree Narayana Guru had received deeksha in Sri Lanka. If Sivagiri Mutt is interested, we would like to work together with them in Sri Lanka," he said. Minister K. Rajan will preside over the function. Sri Lankan Minister Prasanna Ranatunga, Opposition Leader VD Satheesan, MPs Dr. Shashi Tharoor, John Brittas, KB Ganesh Kumar MLA, Honorary Consul Biju Karnan, Sri Lanka Deputy Commissioner Dr D Venkateshwaran, Consulate Adviser and Chief of Staff A Jayaprakash, Director of Public Relations Dr. KT Varkey and others will attend the function.
