Minister Ahamed Devarkovil unfurls tricolour upside down in Kasargod

KASARGOD: The national flag was hoisted upside down in Kasargod Municipal Stadium. Ports Minister Ahamed Devarkovil hoisted the flag upside down during a Republic Day programme on Wednesday. He noticed the error when he started speaking after accepting the salute. The media brought this to the notice of the authorities present there. He later unfurled the flag correctly.

As the collector was not in station, the ADM was in charge of the function. The authorities informed that it is a lapse from the side of the official in charge of the preparations to be made in hoisting the flag.
