Youth brutally attacked for not repaying borrowed money

POTHRNCODE: A youth was abducted, beaten and then hanged him upside down in a nearby well for not repaying the money borrowed. Naseem (32) from Nannattukavu is undergoing treatment at the medical college hospital after brutally attacked.

It is heard that the police have taken three persons into custody in connection with the incident. The police have not divulged any information about them. A team led by Shukkoor, a native of Pothencode, are behind the attack. The incident took place at Pothencode around 3 pm yesterday.

A group of four including Shukkoor, who came in an auto, called Naseem, who was sitting in his friend's shop, and took him along with them. Those in the shop thought they were friends and so did not pay attention. When he failed to return after a long time, his relatives started an investigation. The abductors took Naseem to a vacant plot in Kuttiyani near Vattapara and attacked him brutally.

They then tied him up and hung him upside down in a nearby well. When he was exhausted, the group left him there and fled from there. Naseem somehow escaped and informed his relatives. His relatives admitted him at the medical college hospital. The three were taken into custody after a probe conducted by the Pothencode police.
