Aryan Khan, Suhana Khan to bid in IPL auction, instead of Shah Rukh Khan

NEW DELHI: Star kids Aryan Khan and Suhana Khan were spotted instead of father Shah Rukh Khan, to bid for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), one of the strongest teams in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The IPL 2022 mega auction has begun on Saturday. KKR is co-owned by Shah Rukh Khan and actress Juhi Chawla. The team had won the IPL title twice, under the captainship of Gautam Gambhir.

This is the first time Aryan and Suhana have been spotted together publicly since the former’s arrest in a drugs-on-cruise case last year. Recently, Shah Rukh Khan had attended the funeral of singer Lata Mangeshkar.

India batter Shreyas Iyer was bought by KKR for Rs 12.25 crore. So far, Shreyas Iyer has emerged as the most expensive player. KKR had bought Australia’s test cricket captain Pat Cummins for Rs 7.25 crore.

While Aryan had taken up the auction responsibility last year as well, along with Juhi’s 19-year-old daughter Jhanvi Mehta, this will be a debut for Suhana at the mega auction event. Jhanvi was the youngest bidder in last year’s auction.

The auction began at hotel ITC Gardenia in Bengaluru at 12 noon, on Saturday. The auction is being managed by Hugh Edmeades, who had been presenting the auction since 2018.
