Controversy did not stop them, ten-day revenue of Swift Rs 61 lakh, KSRTC to launch 100 more buses

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Overcoming the controversy following the inauguration, KSRTC Swift has earned Rs 61 lakh in ten days. After covering 1,26,818 km from April 11 to 20, Swift received Rs 61,71,908 by selling tickets.

The AC sleeper bus earned Rs 28,04,403, for AC seat Rs 15,66,415 and for the non-AC service Rs 18,01,090 was received. At present 30 buses are in service. All the eight buses of the AC Sleeper service are doing Bengaluru service. AC seater buses are doing service in the route Pathanamthitta-Bangalore, Kozhikode-Bangalore and on weekends services are to Chennai and in Thiruvananthapuram-Kozhikode route. Non AC service are from Thiruvananthapuram to Kozhikode, Kannur, Sultan Bathery and Mananthavady.

KSRTC-Swift management informed that 100 buses will start service as soon as the permit is issued based on the application for the bus permit.
