17-year-old boy attempts suicide after stabbing 16-year-old girl for refusing love proposal

MUNNAR: A 17-year-old boy attempted to commit suicide after stabbing a 16-year-old girl in the neck. Both are students of Mattupetty Korandakad school. The boy, a class 12 student, attempted suicide by slitting his neck and wrists. Both the students have been admitted to the hospital.

The incident took place at 4.30 pm on Thursday. The condition of the student who attempted suicide is serious. He is undergoing treatment at the Kolanchery hospital. The girl has been shifted to Coimbatore hospital with neck and arm injuries.
