THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former MLA P C George said that he would appear before the Fort assistant commissioner office at the time directed by the police in the hate speech case. In the letter sent to Fort assistant commissioner, he cited health issues for not appearing on Sunday.
The investigating team had directed George to appear before the Fort assistant commissioner’s office at 11 am yesterday. However, without appearing he went to campaign for the Thrikkakara bypolls.
The police had earlier stated that he had violated the bail conditions asking him to appear before the investigating officer when demanded. The probe team has decided to take further action after seeking legal advice from the Director General of Prosecutions today.
