KASARAGOD: Reports suggest that ration is being bought and sold in Karnataka. A gang from Karnataka buys the rice worth Rs 2 for a high price of Rs 15. This rice will then be branded and sold at higher prices.
The visuals of the illegal sale in Kasargod was released by a private channel. The illegal sale is carried out publicly in a market in Kasaragod. From here, the rice and wheat are transported in lorries with Karnataka registration.
In ration shops, rice is provided in various sections at varying costs for Rs 2, Rs 4, Rs 10 or for free. The trade agents buy this rice at an average of Rs 15. With this, the card-holders will have financial benefits. This rice will then be brought to Karnataka and marketed under new names.
