POCSO Court sentences Madrassa teacher to 67 years of RI for sexually harassing 11-year-old boy

KOCHI: A Madrasa teacher who sexually abused a 11-year-old boy was sentenced to 67 years of rigorous imprisonment. The Perumbavoor POCSO court sentenced Aliyar of Nellikuzhi in Ernakulam.

The incident happened in January 2020. The case is that Aliyar abused the boy many times in the madrasa room and gave him his phone to watch obscene videos. The boy revealed this to his friends. With this, other teachers and the boy’s family came to know about the incident and filed a complaint with the Thadiyittaparambu police. He was sentenced to 67 years by adding various sections. The court had the other day found Aliyar guilty in the case. He will be shifted to Viyyur Jail soon.
