Permission for Arjun's family to reach Shirur, local fishermen to arrive for rescue operations

arjun

SHIRUR: Minister Mohammed Riyas said all should unite together to find Arjun, who went missing in the landslide in Shirur. We have requested the Karnataka Government to use all facilities possible to find him. He said things like bringing local fishermen and expert divers for the rescue operations will be examined.

He said the cyberattacks against Arjun's family cannot be accepted in any way. 'It is unacceptable for people with such a vile mind to attack that family at this stage. When we went to that house, the people there told us. Then held discussions with the police commissioner. A case was filed. There will be no compromise on this. We should understand the situation of that family. What is the aim of that group, it should come out,' said the minister.

The minister informed that the opinion has been conveyed to the district collector that pontoons should be brought no matter what the difficulty is. The Karnataka government has clarified that there are some obstacles in delivering these. However, Kerala stood firm in this demand. With this, the collector contacted the pontoon team in Rajasthan. May deliver by night.

Steps have been taken for Arjun's family to reach Shirur. The decision is made considering the mental situation of the family. The minister clarified that it was decided to grant passes to three people in the meeting held with the collector.

Drone search confirmed that Arjun's lorry is 132 meters away from the shore. The report of the search conducted by Major Indrabalan has come. Signals similar to that of the truck were received from four locations.

The cabin of the lorry is upside down. It is believed that the position of the cabin may have changed due to the current in the river. No human presence was detected during the drone inspection. However, the officials said that it is not possible to say ‘no’.
