AKG Centre attack: More than one person involved, clues gathered from CCTV footages

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Hints suggest that the assailant, who hurled bomb at the CPM committee office AKG Centre, was aided by another person. It became clear after examining the CCTV footage.

In the CCTV footages received by the police, a person, who arrived on a scooter, is seen handing over a packet to the assailant ahead of the attack. According to reports, the clues were gathered from the CCTV visuals in the Kunnukuzhy area.

Meantime, the Kattaikonam native, who had uploaded a provocative post on Facebook, is being questioned at the commissioner office. However, no evidence confirming his links with the attack has been found so far.

The police had examined around 70 CCTV cameras nearby AKG Centre. However, hints about the assailant were not found from the visuals. About 20 Congress activists, who had shared posts on social media about the AKG Centre attack, are also being monitored by the police.
