No connection with AKG Centre attack; Riju who put up Facebook post gets bail

akg

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Riju, who had posted on Facebook that he would pelt stones at AKG Centre, has been released on bail by the police. The authorities withdrew the case under the non-bailable section and released Riju on bail after it became clear that Riju had nothing to do with the AKG Centre attack case. On June 25, Riju had posted on Facebook that he would pelt stones at AKG Centre.

Meantime, the police are groping in the dark without getting any clues about the accused even two days after the attack on the CPM state committee office. The person seen in the CCTV footage was found to be a man running a street food shop in the city. He had passed through the AKG Centre twice before the attack took place. The police are checking the phone calls of those who were present in the area that day. The police are hoping to find the suspect by conducting an investigation centered on the mobile tower.
