Constant threats, My family and I will be killed anytime, they said they were calling as said by Jaleel: Swapna Suresh

KOCHI: Swapna Suresh, the accused in the gold smuggling case, said that she had been receiving constant threat messages asking her to stop raising allegations against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, his family and former minister KT Jaleel. She also released the call records as proof of the threat.

"My family and I will be killed anytime. Those who are calling me are threatening me by revealing their name and address. I have lodged a complaint with the DGP last night regarding the threat messages. However, I don't know whether I'll get any help. A person named Naufal from Perinthalmanna said that he was calling as said by Jaleel. Another person named Maradu Aneesh also called and threatened me. I'm revealing this now as I feel that people should know about this," Swapna said.

"It is understood that this threat is meant to prevent the central agency from questioning me. I was not able to appear for questioning in the conspiracy case of the crime branch due to the probe by the central agency. The crime branch is trying to obstruct the ongoing ED investigation," Swapna said.
