Youth who went to meet female friend goes missing, relatives allege kidnap, suspected to have jumped into sea to escape

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A missing complaint has been lodged that a youth who went to meet his female friend had gone missing. Kiran, a native of Naruvamudu, went missing. It is alleged that the relatives of the female friend have kidnapped the youth.

Kiran along with two of his friends arrived to meet the girl, a native of Vizhinjam. Melvin, one of Kiran’s friends said the girl’s relatives abducted Kiran and his friends in a car and bike. Kiran’s relatives said that he may have fled when the bike stopped in between.

Police said that soon after they got Kiran’s missing complaint, they got an information that a youth had jumped into the sea. It is suspected that the youth may have jumped into the sea while trying to escape. In a search conducted, the coastal police got a sandal of a youth from Azhimala. Search for Kiran is continuing. Police said those alleged to have kidnapped Kiran is absconding.
