ED interrogating Sonia: Youth congress activists stop trains in Thiruvananthapuram railway station

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Youth Congress activists protest against the ED for questioning Congress president Sonia Gandhi in National Herald case. Youth Congress state president Shafi Parambil led the protest by stopping the trains at Thiruvananthapuram railway station.

They blocked the train as part of nationwide protests against ED's action. They also protested by lying on the railway tracks. Police reached the spot arrested and removed the activists.

Meantime, the ED is still grilling Sonia Gandhi in the National Herald case. She appeared at the ED office at 12 noon. Priyanka and Rahul Gandhi accompanied her.

Protests are being staged in front of the AICC office. Leaders including Ashok Gehlot and K C Venugopal were arrested. Though the Delhi police clamped prohibitory orders in places including AICC headquarters as part of strengthening security, the activists reached violating it.
