Central agencies being used for political vendetta: KC Venugopal

Venugopal said that the Prime Minister and Home Minister are using central agencies to exact political revenge. "The Prime Minister and Home Minister are using central agencies to exact political revenge against the Gandhi family. As a part of this, they are using the ED to question Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. The ED officials had first informed that they will come to Sonia Gandhi's house to interrogate her in the National Herald case. Sonia Gandhi replied that she was Indira Gandhi's daughter-in-law and could attend the questioning in person. Yet, Amit Shah and Narendra Modi tried to scare the Congress workers by imposing prohibitory orders including at the party headquarters. The Pinarayi government is also following the same policy as the Centre. Such intimidation will not work against the Congress," Venugopal said.

"Fascism has invaded modern India. Even the price hike affecting the common man is not allowed to be discussed in the Parliament. A totalitarian fascist rule similar to that of the Center is going on in Kerala too. The resistance and agitations led by the Congress will have the full support of the High Command," he said.
