Many people were injured in the clashes between the protesters and the police. The Enforcement Directorate had questioned Dharmaraj Rasalam in the Karakonam Medical College bribery case in Kochi last day.

Bishop Dharmaraj Rasalam was stopped by immigration officials when he arrived at Thiruvananthapuram airport to travel to the UK. This was as per the instructions of the ED. The Enforcement Directorate had instructed the Bishop not to travel abroad.

The ED interrogated Bishop in the case of taking bribes in Karakonam Medical College and laundering black money by violating foreign exchange regulations. The rebel group has decided to continue their demand that the Bishop should step aside from his position.
