PUNE: A madrassa student from Karnataka has been detained in Uttar Pradesh for suspected terror links. Farukh, who is studying in a madrassa in Saharanpur, was arrested by the Uttar Pradesh police. He was arrested by a team led by Senior Superintendent of Police Vipin Tada.

Investigating officials said that Farukh was fluent in several languages ​​and was in touch with Pakistan's intelligence agency, the ISI, through social media. Farooq is currently being interrogated by the NIA team. On June 23, the NIA has arrested a Rohingya student on suspicion of terror links.
