PUNE: A madrassa student from Karnataka has been detained in Uttar Pradesh for suspected terror links. Farukh, who is studying in a madrassa in Saharanpur, was arrested by the Uttar Pradesh police. He was arrested by a team led by Senior Superintendent of Police Vipin Tada.
Investigating officials said that Farukh was fluent in several languages and was in touch with Pakistan's intelligence agency, the ISI, through social media. Farooq is currently being interrogated by the NIA team. On June 23, the NIA has arrested a Rohingya student on suspicion of terror links.
