THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Majority of the ordinary buses in the KSRTC will not run services on Saturday, following the diesel crisis. Around 50 per cent of the ordinary bus services were suspended, last day. According to reports, ordinary bus services will be completely suspended on Sunday. However, fast passenger buses will run services.
Earlier, the KSRTC authorities had explained that there is no money to purchase diesel as the money kept for buying fuel was spent on salary. Meantime, the Kerala State Road Transport Employees Association (KSRTEA) said that the diesel shortage in KSRTC is artificial. The management is trying to bargain with the government by agitating the people as the effort to bargain with the employees failed, criticized the KSRTEA.
