Youth dies after falling from terrace and hitting power line in Kumarakom

KUMARAKOM: A young man died after falling from the terrace of the building and hitting the power line. Amal (24), son of Jolly of Kocherikudi in Karimbamanipara in Idukki's Cheruthoni, met a tragic death. He is a hotel employee in Kumarakom. He joined the job ten months ago.

The incident took place at 1.30 am last night. Amal had brought bottled water as requested by his friends staying at the lodge at the boat jetty. The police said that when he reached there thinking that he would meet his friends on the terrace, he heard the door of the room on the ground floor being closed and fell while looking down. Amal fell on the road after hitting the power line and the board of the shop. Friends heard the noise and took Amal to the hospital, but couldn't save him.
