MALAPURAM: There are reports that the forest department will file a case against the contractors in the incident over the death of hundreds of birds after the trees were felled at Thalapara V K Padi, for the development of national highway. The preliminary conclusion is that fifty cormorants belonging to Schedule IV have died in the felling of trees.
