Cyclonic circulation over Kanyakumari; Kerala likely to receive heavy rain during Onam, yellow alert issued

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Heavy rainfall alert has been issued in Kerala for the next five days as a cyclonic circulation lies over Kanyakumari area. IMD has declared rainfall warning in several districts. Yellow alert has been issued today in Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Malappuram and Wayanad districts.

Yellow alert has been issued in districts as follows:
On Monday: Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Malappuram and Wayanad
On Tuesday: Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod
On Wednesday: Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod
On Thursday: Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode and Wayanad

IMD has informed that there is a possibility of isolated heavy rain during these days.
