THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPI state secretary Kanam Rajendran has lashed out at Governor Arif Mohammad Khan. Kanam said that the governor is attempting to obstruct the elected government's functioning. Kanam's criticism is directed against the governor's action of not signing the bills.
Kanam also alleged that the bourgeois media is trying to weaken the communist parties. "The party will survive the attempts made to weaken it. The media is trying to portray that there is sectarianism in the CPI. The opinion of one in forty is being propagated as the opinion of the party. CPI is a party of comrades with opinions. Such discussions will take place in a democratically functioning party. It is not wrong. But if a decision is taken, the party will stand united," he said.
