Two students drown while taking bath in canal

TIRUR: Two students drowned while taking a bath in a canal at Kaladu in Niramaruthoor. The deceased have been identified as Muhammad Hashmin (12) and Ajlan(11). The incident took place at around 1 pm on Monday. Locals rushed to the spot after hearing the loud cries of other children. Although the locals managed to rescue from the canal the two children and rush them to the hospital, the children were pronounced dead. The bodies were shifted to the mortuary of the District Hospital, Tirur for post-mortem. Hashmin, son of Kaladu naive Salam, is a 6th standard student of Govt High School, Mangad. Ajlan, is a 6th-standard student of Sharafia English Medium School, Kaladu. He is the son of Velliyode native Siddique.
