Influence of terror groups behind human sacrifice, BJP wants police to make public all information about Shafi

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Shafi, arrested in the human sacrifice case in Elanthoor, an incident that shocked the state, has links with terrorist groups, said BJP state chief K Surendran. He asked police to make public all the information about him. An accused in the incident is a social activist and a CPM leader. Why are the leaders of the ruling party reluctant to opine on this incident? He asked why the CPM is not taking action against him. What would have been the reactions here if the incident had taken place outside Kerala, where have the cultural leaders gone, asked Surendran.

Kochi City Police Commissioner revealed that the human sacrifice case was proved through a tough investigation. The police revealed that Shafi had only studied up to the sixth standard and that he was a sexual pervert. There is no place in Kerala which Shafi has not seen. He is a psychopath. He finds pleasure in cruelty. While disclosing the criminal background of the accused, the police said that there are about 10 cases registered against him in the last fifteen years.
