KOCHI: Kochi Police said that Italian nationals, who were arrested in Gujarat, were not the ones who spray-painted on the coach of the Kochi metro. According to the police, these Italian nationals arrived in India months after the graffiti appeared on the coach's outer wall. The graffiti writing appeared on the coach's outer wall in May. However, the Italian nationals arrived in India on September 24.

The Gujarat police had arrested four Italian nationals for committing similar acts in Ahmedabad. A police team from Kochi had reached Ahmedabad to check whether these Italians had anything to do with the Kochi Metro graffiti case. The probe team returned today as no they did not get any substantial evidence from the interrogation.
