Eligible to become Chief Minister and Prime Minister, Shashi Tharoor invited to contest in Kottayam in next Lok Sabha election

KOTTAYAM: Dr Shashi Tharoor MP has received an invitation to contest in Kottayam. It was KM Chandy Foundation chairman Prof Cyriac Thomas who invited Tharoor to contest in the Kottayam constituency in the next Lok Sabha elections. Cyriac Thomas said that Tharoor is fit to be Chief Minister and Prime Minister.

Meanwhile, Shashi Tharoor declared he would attend the Kottayam Youth Congress conference. He said that it was the Youth Congress that invited him to the program and that those who are not interested need not come. Tharoor also rejected DCC's claim that he did not inform the DCC about the event in Kottayam. He stated that his office had contacted DCC president Nattakom Suresh. The DCC leadership had earlier officially informed KPCC that they were not told about Shashi Tharoor's visit to Kottayam. Nattakom Suresh also said that the Youth Congress will not share the stage with Shashi Tharoor as he was not informed about Tharoor's visit.
