KOZHIKODE: Forest Minister, AK Saseendran, said that some NGOs are misleading the farmers in the buffer zone issue. There are even discussions whether wildlife sanctuaries are necessary. However, these are not the issues to be discussed now.

The Forest Minister said that he came to know that Chief Minister will discuss buffer zone issue with the Prime Minister through media. He said that he is hopeful in the buffer zone issue. He added that an application will be given on January 5 to join party in the buffer zone case in the Supreme Court.

Meanwhile, BJP State President, K Surendran, said that his party will fight in the forefront for those who will lose their homes in the buffer zone issue. He added that it is the inefficiency of the state government that has left thousands of people concerned.

When there was so much time to submit documents at the Supreme Court, the government showed no initiative. Kerala must see and learn how other states have managed the buffer zone issues.

K Surendran said that the state government withdrew from Silver Line project after BJP made the central government aware about the issues. In the buffer zone issue also, the BJP will put up a strong fight, said the State President.

Surendran made these remarks after visiting Angel Valley.
