HYDERABAD: Three people were killed and several injured in a stampede during a rally by former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party leader Chandrababu Naidu. Ten people are in critical condition.
The accident occurred during a public meeting at Vikas Nagar in Guntur district attended by Chandrababu Naidu. A special ration distribution program was also organized during the rally. Many people came to the event. The incident happened after Naidu left the place. Those injured in the accident were admitted to the government hospital.
This is the second time in a week that there has been a stampede during a TDP rally. Eight people, including a woman, died in a stampede during a road show in Kandukur town of Nellore district. Following the incident, Chandrababu Naidu had cancelled the event.
