THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A case has been registered against 11 people in a clash involving two factions of the Kerala Secretariat Association, a pro-opposition organization in the Secretariat. The case was registered after recording the statement of KF Harris, Assistant Section Officer of the Public Administration Department, who was injured in the clash and is undergoing treatment at the General Hospital. The case is against secretariat employees Neyyatinkara D Anilkumar, K Reji, A Sudhir, MM Jazeer, Jayakumar, GR Govind, Ranjeesh, KM Anilkumar, Ramachandran Nair, Ramesan and Satheesh Kumar. They have been charges with offences punishable by imprisonment for up to three years.

Meanwhile, there was a minor clash between the two factions yesterday. The incident took place during the distribution of notices in protest against the clashes that took place on Monday. It is alleged that the team led by MS Jyotish, who came to distribute the notice at the Secretariat Annex 2 at around 1.15 pm yesterday, was stopped by the office attendants of the other section. Then there was argument between two sides and that ended in clash. Cantonment police arrived and pacified both sides.
