KSRTC's 12-hour single duty reform to be soon extended to all depots

ksrtc

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KSRTC will extends 12-hour duty reform to five more depots in Thiruvananthapuram. Single duty system will be implemented in all KSRTC depots in the state by March.

The management claims that the 12-hour single duty implemented at Parassala was a success. The next phase will be implemented in Neyyatinkara, Vizhinjam, Poovar, Vellarada and Kattakkada depots. For this, ordinary buses from other depots and common pool have been ordered to reach the depots where the duty system has been introduced. Single duty will start from Monday.

But the unions are strongly against this. They demanded that single duty should not be extended without proper evaluation of it in Parassala depot. At the same time, the CMD directed the administrative officers to take necessary steps to quickly release the employees if they tender their resignations.
