Budget 2023-24: New savings scheme announced for women with fixed interest rate of 7.5 percent

NEW DELHI: During her Budget speech on Wednesday, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced a new investment scheme for women and girls. The ടMahila Samman Bachat Patra Schemeട was announced as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.


The tenure of the scheme is two years. One can invest up to Rs.2 lakh in the scheme, which will earn interest of up to 7.5%. Meanwhile, the Finance Minister also announced that the PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana will continue for one more year and the Union government will bear the expenditure of Rs 2 lakh crore. All Antyodaya beneficiaries will benefit from this.
