KOCHI: Indian cricketer Sanju Samson is at Kaloor Stadium in Kochi as part of his warm-up training. Sanju was at the stadium during Minister V Abdurahiman’s visit to the venue to monitor the maintenance work. After working out for about an hour, Sanju returned in an auto rickshaw, and the video of this is going viral on social media.
Sanju Samson is in the Kerala cricket team for the Ranji Trophy tournament that begins this month. Kerala's first match in Elite B will be against Maharashtra at the Sports Hub Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram on the 15th. Sanju Samson is also included in the Indian team's Twenty20 squad for the Australian tour.
Meanwhile, the Kaloor Stadium will undergo renovation for the next 30 days as part of the arrival of the Argentina team, including Lionel Messi, on November 17. The sponsors have announced renovation works worth Rs 70 crore at the stadium before Messi's arrival.
