WARSAW: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reach the Ukrainian capital Kyiv on Thursday by travelling in the iconic train service ‘Rail Force One’. The journey from the Poland border may take about 10 hours to reach the Ukrainian capital.
Ukraine had to rely on diesel locomotives after Russia targeted and ruined most of the country’s electricity networks. This has considerably increased the travel time by some hours. Every world leader visiting Ukraine chooses the Rail Force One train service, that has now turned to a diplomatic link connecting Ukraine with other European countries.
Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky only uses Rail Force One trains while travelling abroad. US President Joe Biden to French President Emmanuel Macron travelled in Rail Force One while visiting Ukraine in 2023.
