Malayali youth dies of suffocation during scuba diving training in Dubai; brother collapses

DUBAI: A Malayali youth died of suffocation during scuba diving training in Dubai. The incident happened when he was training along with his wife and brother in Jumaira Beach. The dead is Isaac Paul (29) of Velur Naduvilangadi in Thrissur. His brother suffered injuries. Paul was working as a civil engineer in a company in UAE.

The three were earlier trained for scuba diving. Isaac died of a heart attack after he could not breathe properly. Isaac was rushed to the hospital but his life could not be saved, while his brother Ivin collapsed on reaching the hospital. Doctors said that he is out of danger. All are engineers. Isaac and Reshma are in Dubai, while Ivin lives in Abu Dhabi.

Ivin was informed of his brother's death later. The equipment used for the training was seized by Dubai police. It is reported that Isaac's body will be brought to his hometown soon after the procedures are completed.
