ISLAMABAD: Pakistan seeks the intervention of the United Nations after India’s plan to attack them. Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that they have received clear information in this regard. An international commission can be accepted for the investigation. Pakistan has sought intervention from UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres. Pakistan's Information Minister had also said that he had received evidence that India was planning to attack within 36 hours.
Meantime, as tensions between India and Pakistan escalated in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack, the United States has asked India and Pakistan to avoid escalating the situation. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio will call External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar to assess the situation. The United States has also asked other friendly countries to intervene in the matter.
India had yesterday decided to retaliate against Pakistan, who is behind the Pahalgam terror attack. The country is all set to wage a war as the Prime Minister had given the armed forces complete freedom to decide where, when, how and what the depth of the attack should be. The ministerial committee, which takes crucial decisions on national security matters, will review the situation this morning. This is the second meeting of the security committee chaired by the Prime Minister after the Pahalgam attack on April 22, and will be held at 11 am today. After the security committee meeting, the ministerial committee on political affairs will also meet under the leadership of Prime Minister.
